U Tiger provides short, targeted training for skills used in the UCAT. Use it alongside official practice tests and full mock platforms. It is a free add-on for focused practice. Continue using official materials and a full mock platform for complete preparation.

Method and scope

About U Tiger

U Tiger is a free browser-based UCAT training beta. It concentrates on the operations that create delay inside Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making and Quantitative Reasoning.

What the current build covers

SectionCurrent training
Verbal ReasoningEvidence location, qualifiers, inference, passage mapping, timing decisions and four-question passage sets.
Decision MakingFormal logic, constraint grids, five-statement syllogisms, Venn sets, probability and strongest-argument questions.
Quantitative ReasoningTable extraction, percentage chains, reverse percentages, ratios, calculation order and linked data sets.

The present bank contains 341 original question sets and passages, representing 435 scored response items across 18 tracked skills.

How assisted answers are handled

Training mode offers two progressive clues. Guided mode displays the first clue automatically. Exam mode hides coaching. The report records clue use, and adaptive pace changes use independent answers only.

Mistake Replay does not alter adaptive timing. Its purpose is correction and retrieval practice.

How Pace Frontier is calculated

Pace Frontier combines independent accuracy with response time across repeated sessions. It waits for at least eight comparable responses across two sessions before showing a provisional classification. A supported classification requires at least twelve responses across three sessions, with stricter requirements for transfer readiness.

Assisted and timed-out attempts are excluded from pace medians. Personal bests require at least 80% independent accuracy in a run containing four or more comparable responses. Every label displays its evidence count and the rule used. The current adaptive target is a U Tiger training reference rather than an official UCAT benchmark.

What the trainer can and cannot establish

The site can show how a learner performs within its own drills: accuracy, response time, clue use and recurring error categories. The adaptive model has not yet been validated as a predictor of a live UCAT score.

Question difficulty and interface details will differ from the live test. Use the official tutorials, question banks and practice tests for the most representative preparation.

Question provenance

All questions in U Tiger are original. No official UCAT questions or competitor questions are copied or lightly rewritten. Items are stored with answer keys, explanations, error labels and validation fields. The bank is reviewed as it expands.
